Do Kentucky Bass have a rough toungue like a cat?

I am trying to figure out what kind of bass is in my pond at home. They are not largemouth but they are colored like them but they have a small mouth and are not smallmouth bass. They look like a largemouth but they have a smallmouth. I know there is also kentucky bass. Please help! Thanks

its called a spotted bass
Kentucky bass will have a rough spot on their tongue, this helps them crush crawdads which is their main food source, or should say when they lived in the creeks and rivers.
They are also known as spotted bass.
