If it’s for smallmouth and crappie, how can I use the float-&-fly rig?

…for largemouth bass?

I know nothing about a float and fly rig but the crappie are biting, at least in NC. I caught a few dozen last weekend, had a huge on right next to the dock before my 4lb test broke. Heartbreaking. I usually just use small to medium size minnows on a bobber. I like fishing at night with a floating light in the water, you can see the bait fish swimming around it which draws the crappie. Also a very small spinner would work good for daytime fishing, never tried at night.

I think what you are talking about is a 1/32nd hair jig. Use that below a bobber.

Uhm, you fish for Largemouth’s the same as you would Smallmouth/Crappie. You can’t fish “differently” to try and catch another type of fish when using teh Float ‘N Fly rig. You just fish it how you’re supposed to fish it and whatever you catch, whether it be what you’re targeting or not, be thankful you caught it.
