I’ve been fishing for smallmouth bass in north Idaho and they keep moving, how did i tell where they go?

Somedays ill catch like 5 really big ones and others i will catch 3 small ones in the same place and time? If any one fishes in Lake Pend Oreille please help me.

I’m not in your area, but I love to fish for small mouth.
Small mouth like current. If you can find streams that dump into the lake or of course rivers then you will find them.
