That is rather odd for you to have caught a Smallie out of the river I was born and raised in the Owens Vally and can tell you that doesn’t happen very often. Tell me were you down by Tinemaha Reservoir below BigPine????

Wow I’ve never seen those kind of fish in the Owens River before… sweet! I’m going to go ther this summer agian
Last time I went there I caught 22 fish! I threw em all back tho. Hopefully they all survived lol
