Smallmouth bass cover?

I mean mostly for lakes. I understand what smallies look for in rivers. Do lake smallies look for weeds and fallen trees and deep rocks just the same as largemouth? If they do, how do they use cover differently than largemouth?

they like to use all the things you listed also what is really good is if there is a sunken boat because i was snorkeling near a sunken barge and it was infested with smallies
Rocks thats where their food is. They mainly eat crayfish. If rocks are not available fish the weeds. Its all about the rocks.
