    their mouth size

google them. A smallmouth is darker in color and not generally as big as a largemouth. A big smallmouth in my opinion would be 5 pounds. While a big largemouth would be 9+ pounds. Smallmouths are usually very dark green and have some black in them but then again largemouths can also be pretty dark but wont normally have black in them.

a small mouth has a smaller mouth, a largemouth has a larger mouth. Largemouths tend to be bigger and lighter in color. Smallmouths are smaller and darker in color.

The best/easiest way to tell is imagining a line from the eye to the end of the upper jaw. LMB’s jaw will extend past the eye, while a SMB’s jaw only reaches the middle of the eye.

  • allstar_#28:

the large mouth bass’ jaw extends beyond the eye and they are greenish where a smallmouth is brownish and has a smaller mouth
