Why Does My Pet Largemouth Bass Have Weird Spots?!?

My pet largemouth bass has weird spots of scales missing on his body! And there are chunks out of his tail! I had him living with a smallmouth bass but took him out yesterday after i saw the spots. I had to put him in a 10 gallon tank that i kept my feeder goldfish in. And today the spots got worse! I had feeder goldfish in both tanks also. The smallmouth has a few little spots on him too. I don’t know if its the fish, the water, the feeder goldfish or what?!?!?! Email me for pics! Thx!

could b whitespot you can get treatments for fish diseases from your local pet shop take a picture with you so they can help with diagnosis good luck

  • zero:

well if you found them in the wild and the spots are black, then its natural, when i fish i will get fish with those, they are a paricite and they cant kill or hurt your fish. now if the spots are white, then it is ich, and you got it from the feeder fish for sure, because the people that breed the feeder fish dont take care of them. if it is ich, you can use ich gard or any ich killer, jus fyi lg amd s mouth bass need a 55 minimum and a 75 to o100 at best. good luck and i hope its not ich
