Fish Stocking (largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, fathead minnows, and hybrid striped bass)

In new ponds small (1-2″) bluegill, redear sunfish, and fathead minnows are stocked to establish a forage base. Once the forage base is established, we then stock the largmouth bass. We stock the coppernose bluegill and the F1, northern strain, or florida strain largemouth bass. The redear sunfish are also known as shellcrakers. Hybrid striped bass (aka stripers, hybrids) are stocked to provide fisherman an optional sportfish to catch.

practice catch and release and take care of your fish
