Indiana Fishing Report

Morse & Geist reservoirs: Crappie are turning on. They are shallow. Small white jig heads with small to medium minnows about 3 to 5 foot under slip bobbers. A few good bass being caught in the shallows using spinnerbaits.

White River Martinsville to Muncie : Some good smallmouth action. Fish are being caught using ultra-light or fly fishing equipment

Monroe reservoir: Monroe Bass Fishing Report 4/7/2010.  Tom Bourque from Indy , took a 5.8 lb. Largemouth Bass with J & R Guide Service on a cloudy , windy , Wed. afternoon 4/7/10 . Three Bass total with this 21 1/4″ pig making the tough fishing worth while . This Largemouth was caught on the main lake in 2 feet of water on a spinner bait

Monroe reservoir crappie have been on the bite with several nice stringers being taken. Fish are in 3 to 7 feet deep water and hitting on bobber and minnows. Some nice slabs being caught. 

Patoka Lake:  LimitS of Patoka Slabs above Walls Boat Ramp . 18 Crappie measured between 11 – 15 inches and the rest were close behind . Fish were caught on Berkley 3″ Power Grubs in 4 – 6 feet of water . Water temperature was reading 61.9 degrees at 4pm

Turtle Creek Reservoir:  We caught a ton of sunfish, and a couple nice channel cats.
Hit a couple ponds at Glendale today with my brother.  We caught several small bass, my brother laid hook into a big one that broke his line.  Once again a very windy day.  Good to get out though.

Brookville reservoir: Dink bass, bluegill, crappie and channel cats being caught. All dinks and mostly nothing worth taking the time to clean. 

Wabash River: Finally a few nice flatheads showing up. Use live bluegill or creek chubs.

Bluegrass state fish & wildlife area remains a crappie hotspots with many limits being caught.

Farm ponds in central and southern Indiana have been producing some big bass, crappie, and a few bluegill.

Mushroom report:  Mushrooms are popping up. Seems like they are about a week behind what they were last year. Most mushrooms being found are small grays and blacks. No big ones yet.
