By Michelle Rupe Eubanks, Staff Writer A band of severe weather swept through the Southeast on Saturday, but officials in the Shoals said the area escaped the worst of the damage. “I’d say we were blessed,” said Mike Melton, director of the Colbert County Emergency Management Agency.
