  • The Wormist:

use 6″ to 10″ live shiners for the bass
1″ to 2″ live shiners for the crappie
any size dead shiners for the catfish.

  • panther00:

cut and live bair for catfish, lures and plastic worms for bass

hey there, i fished there last year in the st. johns river and caught all the fish you listed. for bass i had most luck with a spinner and a good trailer, crank bait(4 inch broke back minnow) that is what i caught all my bass off of. the crappie, minnows. i really wasnt going out there to fish for crappie but my wife and i wanted to relax a little more one of the days that we were there i went and got a few dozen minnows and started pulling them up. the cats were caught off of turkey livers and dough baits. i hope that you have a blast down there. i know i did and i know that florida offers great fishing. good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experience

  • Alex:

for a bass and crappie a roostertail is a good multispecies lure, but catfish like bait…stnky concoctions or slabs of fish.

  • Joe American usn ret.:

I like shiners – if you can’t get them get some rubber worms…
