Have you been freshwater fishing lately for bass or bream?
I caught 2 nice bass early this morning using plastic worms here in ne Florida, one was about 2 pounds and the other was maybe 3 pounds, fishing from the bank, will try for bream this afternoon with live worms !

I lived in Jacksonville for 16 years and miss the bass fishing so much. I went yesterday and caught 2 small bass but it filled the urge. I would leave those bream alone and keep after the bass. I remember going back deep into Julington Creek and catching a lot of bass. Tight lines.
Well I live in Buffalo New York where it’s currently in the 10′s so I haven’t been fishing in a while. I do however sit here every day and count down the days till I get to beck out there.
I go to a small pond and fish with my son from sunup to sundown. Very therapeutic! We always catch bass and pickerel. We use mostly something called a Torpedo by Heddon. We also use a Hula Popper and a Woodchopper. Topwater lures work best for us at least at this particular pond. The pond has a lot of tree trunks in it and a lot of weeds. The best thing is that it is close to home so,we can go after my son gets out of work also.I live in Maine and can’t wait for the Spring to go fishing again. I’d go Icefishing but, it’s just too darn cold and I like the action of freshwater fishing!Been nice sharing fishing experiences with you! Thanks for bringing up the subject. It helps the winter months to go by quicker.
I wish i could fish this week, it’s been 4 inches of snow, and 15 degrees! It’s 57 today (Warmest day all winter.) and the snow is all melted off (It melted off in 2 days.) So, the next couple days i should be a heading’ the lake, or creek. I even have a creek in the backyard that holds a good supply of chubs, and even some bluegill. (The ‘gills are very small, almost as small as the chubs.) I ain’t never fished down there, because there’s all these darn trees in the way! If i even tried to walk down there with a rod, the trees would tare it all to h***!!! That’s when a pocket fisherman, or telescopic rod is handy. Too bad i don’t own one =(. The bass are not biting the best down at the local lake, but i always try for ‘em. Them crappie’s & trout like the cold though! =) But, i should end up catching a couple 1-4 pounders, if the weather permits. Plus, we got all these pond’s full of catfish down here in Kentucky!!! =)
Hope i helped ya out.
went to tank to get brim for stripper bait last wk// still froze over went to texoma anyway// nada // seen one small one brought up,,
No. Try for an eight pound trout that my grandson caught
Congratulations on your catch! i haven’t been for bass for a while, however i suspect in a few months i might, i have however been fishing for some trout.
