Nice fish, I just had a chance to finally try some of the canals of Miami on my way home from the Keys and we caught a bunch of peacocks, what an awesome fish. Nice video.
Hi, I’ve been trying out the canals here in south florida, well I live here actually, in Homestead. I have a nice spot to catch bass but I have been dying to hook up with a peacock, do you know any canals near the homesated, florida city area?

So you can actually see the fish?
a number of those fish were caught flippin a small live shiner. I use a Mustad size #2 hook and clip a small splitshot right above the hook. Also try a small bucktail jig or small rattletrap on the bedding fish. They cant stand it.
