The only decent ramps are at Maceo park on SW 7th…there is also a single ramp that is o.k. on snapper creek.
These fish were caught around the area of Palmetto (826) and SW 8th St. (Tamiami Trail) in the canals. Put your boat in anywhere you can find a ramp. Do a google search and you’ll find the water easily.
those fish were caught with a small live shiner on a freeline rig. #4 Mustad hook and a small splitshot clipped 6- 10 inches above the hook. Try it out.

correct some fish spawn 2 times a year. I have seen some still on the beds so you should be able to sight fish a few. good luck!
great video……ill be out thier this weekend……….are they still on thier beds or they done with spawning i know they spawn twice a year..i was at snake creek this weekend caught 14 one 4 pounder….
